CIS Interstate Council of Antitrust Policy was founded in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, on January 25 2000 according to Contract on "Maintaining of Agreed Anticompetitive Policy,” signed by the Heads of governments of the CIS member countries.   At present, the Council incorporates 11 member states: the Republic of Armenia, The Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Azerbaijan,  the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Ghrghstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of  Moldova.  

The Council members from the Republic of Armenia are Ashot Shahnazaryan, Chair of the RA State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition  and Armen Gevorgyan,  Advisor to the Minister  of the RA Ministry of  Economy.
 
 
To consolidate efforts of antitrust and other competent bodies in the sphere of advertisements, the CIS Economic Council signed agreement on “Collaboration between the CIS Member States in the Sphere of Advertisement”  on December 19 2003, during the regular its session. To implement the provisions of Agreement, Advertisement Coordination Board under the auspices of the Council was established during XIX session held in the city of Kiev on May 17 2004. It operates in compliance with the order of “Advertisement Coordination Board Operating at CIS Interstate Council of Antitrust Policy”.   The first session of  the Board was held from September 29 to October 2 2004 in the city of Almati, Kazakhstan.

Advertisement Coordination Board, which operates at the CIS Interstate Council of Antitrust Policy, is a permanent advisory-informational body, the goal of which is to ensure the relationships between the Co-operation state bodies regulating the advertisement related activity  and advertisement market participants by enforcing Agreement on “Co-operation between CIS member Countries in the Sphere of Advertisement”. 

Hrayr Aramyan, Commissioner of the RA State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition and Armen Martirosyan, Chair of “Antares Holding’, Chair of the Advertisement Council of the Republic of Armenia are the members of the Advertisement Coordination Board at the CIS Interstate Council of Antitrust Policy.
